Poland to allocate $760 million to bolster cybersecurity following Russian hackers' attack

“We want to allocate over PLN 3 billion for a 'Cyber Shield'. Today, Poland is on the frontline of the cyber fight against Russia. Poland has the most attacks,” said Minister of Digital Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski.
He said that on Sunday and Monday, Poland blocked several cyberattacks on critical infrastructure.
“Today, Poland is no longer in a cold cyberwar with Russia; in some aspects, it has escalated to a warm cyberwar,” the Polish minister said.
According to the agency, Poland will soon hold elections to the European Parliament. That is why the Polish authorities are on high alert for Russia's attempts to interfere in the voting.
