Poland joins EU ammunition procurement program for Ukraine

Poland has joined the EU's purchase of 1 million rounds of ammunition for Ukraine over the course of the year

The Polish radio station RMF FM reported that the Polish Ministry of National Defense had signed the necessary documents and Ukraine's western neighbor joined nearly two dozen European countries that had previously agreed to jointly purchase ammunition.

Their goal is, firstly, to increase the supply of artillery ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine; secondly, to introduce joint procurement by European states and accelerate its pace to replenish their own stocks; thirdly, to rapidly increase the production capacity of the European defense industry.
