Podolyak: number of killed and wounded Russian soldiers is slightly more than 300 thousand
Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Ukrainian President's Office, believes that the number of killed and wounded Russian soldiers in the war in Ukraine is a little more than 300,000.
Mykhailo Podolyak told this in an interview with Channel 24.
"In my opinion, the figure of 250,000 is a little too low for what we see," Podolyak says.
Adviser to the head of the President's Office emphasizes that the figure of 250,000 is “a little too low”. In terms of mobilization, which Russia has been conducting continuously since the middle of last summer, and in terms of the group that was on our borders on February 24, and in terms of additional units such as PMC Wagner as prisoners, which they gathered in detachments, and Rosgvardia, and the FSB.
"It seems to me that the figure (killed and wounded Russians - ed.) is a little more than 300 thousand. But Russia today is in such an immoral state that it does not matter if they lose 100, 200, or 500 thousand. This is a question of development of internal rebellion as such, and it does not depend on the number of dead," Podolyak said.
Politician explains that Russian Federation lives like a dead and hopeless country. After all, you can't make a career there, gain some fame, realize yourself, you can only drink there, "so you can send a million of them to war and it's not important for Russia."
"It is not important for the world either, because Russia is a very small proportion of people who generate something there - I mean from sports or cultural point of view. All the others are lost people. No one can like Russia, it is a country with a few other rules of life, this is not modern life. And today we are not talking about the genocidal type of Ukraine's counter-war. No, Ukraine says officially that we must necessarily destroy the entire occupation army that is on the territory of Ukraine. Because they are killing our people and they destroy our cities. This is mandatory retaliation, this is the rule of war and this is legally motivated behavior of Ukraine," advisor to the head of the Ukrainian President's Office.
