
Playing along with Russia’s show only pushes peace further away
There will be no peace until Russia feels real strength — Ukraine says again
“Enough is enough,” say political leaders from various continents in response to yet another Russian performance in Istanbul.
On October 15, the first Arab summit will be held in Moscow, where all leaders and the Secretary-General of the Arab League have been invited, Putin responds.
This comes after Trump’s visit to the Middle East ended with Saudi Arabia pledging $600 billion in investments in the U.S., the U.S. agreeing to sell them $142 billion in arms, and plans for a partnership in AI with the UAE.
There will be no peace until Russia feels strength — Ukraine says once again.
As long as agreements, not sanctions, are on the table, supplying weapons to Ukraine and isolating Russia do not show true strength.
Continuing to play a role in Russia’s performance, no matter how well it’s done, is a path away from peace.
