Piontkovsky explains Putin's vulnerability
Washington-based political analyst Andrey Piontkovsky believes that a future Russian government will blame Putin for losing the war
He said this on Espreso TV.
“Do you know what Putin's vulnerability is in this situation? We can already see the narrative that the future government of Russia will offer to its people: we fought heroically, but we lost because of traitors. But it is much easier to offer this narrative without Putin, adding Putin, if not to the traitors, then to the culprits in this war. It will be impossible for Putin to express this narrative, because Prigozhin begins his statements by saying that we did not invent this war,” Piontkovsky emphasized.
The political analyst also added that the generals will be dealt with ruthlessly, with a dozen Russian generals likely to be shot.
“Putin will have a classic 'Swan Lake' and a message that Comrade Putin has made a number of serious mistakes in the Ukrainian issue. His health deteriorated, Comrade Xi sent an air ambulance and we sent him for long-term treatment. I think they will do the same with Putin. Because without Putin, by putting the blame on him, it will be much easier for them to present a narrative that eases the soul and inspires the people to eliminate enemies and traitors,” Piontkovsky said.
