US President Joe Biden ordered to provide $1 billion in assistance to Ukraine, and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken confirmed Pentagon will allocate $850 million of new aid, including the Patriot systems

This is reported by the White House.

According to the order, these funds will be used for defense items and services of the US Department of Defense, as well as for military education and training of the Ukrainian military.

Also, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced the provision of additional $850 million aid for Ukraine. The new assistance package will also include the Patriot anti-aircraft missile complex.

"Today’s assistance for the first time includes the Patriot Air Defense System, capable of bringing down cruise missiles, short range ballistic missiles, and aircraft at a significantly higher ceiling than previously provided air defense systems," the statement said.
