Over 2,800 settlements remain occupied by Russia since start of full-scale war in Ukraine

This is reported by the School of Political Analysis of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
According to the response of the Ministry of Reintegration to the request of the School of Political Analysis of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, 687 settlements in 87 territorial communities have been liberated since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
As of September 2023, 2,804 settlements in 144 territorial communities that were seized after February 24, 2022 are under Russian occupation.
The Ministry doesn't currently have statistics on the number of people in the temporarily occupied territory.
- Since September 21, 2023, fake courts have been operating in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, sentencing anyone who disagrees with the Russian occupation.
