Orban bargains with EU and Russia in hope of getting more

"The Hungarian government bargains with the EU and Russia and is waiting to see which of them offers more. If Russia continues to provide oil and cheaply build nuclear power plants on the territory of Hungary, then the Orbán government will continue to support the Russian Federation. If it is true, then Budapest can forget about 18 billion euro aid from the EU for Ukraine and not block this decision. Such a scenario of events is definitely on Orban's table", Veselovskyi explained.

Diplomat emphasized that Orbán's government is creating more and more problems for the EU.

"It is important to note that there is growing understanding among European countries that Orbán is a cancer tumor for the EU. One way or another, his policy may tempt other countries to take similar actions. This is especially true of states whose governments support Putin in one way or another. Therefore, EU countries will now carefully follow the words and actions of the Hungarian government", he added.
