Starting from July 31, the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine will begin testing an electronic queue service for crossing the border by bus at the Yagodyn-Dorohusk checkpoint. Starting August 1, drivers or logisticians will have to register a bus in the system and then arrive at the time specified to cross the border.
"The launch of the electronic queue for buses is part of the reform of international passenger transportation to ensure passenger comfort. At the same time, we are verifying international routes - canceling non-working ones, negotiating with neighboring countries on the speed of customs and border services so that passengers do not spend hours in queues at the border and the process is predictable," Serhiy Derkach, Deputy Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, said.
Currently, the electronic queue will operate in test mode, so the waiting time for crossing the border will not change. After all the processes are set up, the queues of passenger buses at the checkpoints should disappear, and bus transportation will be carried out only according to the electronic queue.
On May 8, an electronic border crossing queue for trucks was launched at 16 checkpoints with the EU.
