One of the attacks of the invaders on Zhytomyr damaged the maternity hospital, where there were mothers with children

This was reported by the Telegram channel Zhytomyr 24, according to Ukrinform.

“As a result of the shelling, the maternity hospital on Bohuniya was damaged.  Women in labor and babies were evacuated to the basement”, the statement said.

Earlier, the mayor of Zhytomyr Sergiy Sukhomlin said that Russian bombs hit a residential building and a hospital in Zhytomyr. The number of victims is being specified. According to the mayor, the State Emergency Service is working on the spot.

As Ukrinform reported, as a result of an airstrike in Zhytomyr, 10 private residential buildings and a city hospital were damaged. As it is currently known, 2 people have died.

On March 2, the Russian army carried out airstrikes on civilian infrastructure in the Zaporizhzhya region.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion.  Russian troops are killing civilians, shelling and destroying key infrastructure, and missiles hit Ukrainian homes.

Martial law has been introduced in Ukraine and general mobilization has been declared. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the support of all the people, courageously oppose aggression.

Ukraine officially filed a lawsuit against the Russian Federation to the International Court of Justice in The Hague. Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court Karim Khan initiated an investigation into the situation in Ukraine.
