One in five adults in Ukraine have left due to the war, 22% of internally displaced people will return home soon – survey
Every fifth adult in Ukraine has fled home because of the war while 22% of displaced people plan to return home in the near future and 43% will come back once there is peace

These new figures come from a Rating Sociological Group poll.
"According to the results of the 9th nationwide survey conducted by the Rating Sociological Group on April 26, 2022, 20% of the adult population had to change their place of residence (this indicator has been stable since mid-March). Most of those who are forced to leave are in the eastern regions (58%) and are mainly young people (33%)", the report finds.
Since early April, the number of people who plan to return home in the near future has decreased: from 29% to 22%. There are more Ukrainians who plan to return later: from 24% to 31%. 43% of internally displaced people will return home after the war ends.
