Occupying troops in Kherson region force retired people to get Russian passports – General Staff
The enemy continues terrorizing residents of temporarily occupied Kherson region
This was reported by the AFU General Staff on February 12.
"Russian invading forces are pressuring the most vulnerable group – pensioners – to receive Russian passports, threatening to stop paying pensions," the post says.
Russia launches 2 missile strikes and 23 MLRS attacks
Russia does not abandon attempts to destroy critical Ukrainian infrastructure, and continues to damage civilian objects and residential buildings.
"During the day, the enemy launched 2 missile strikes and 23 MLRS attacks," the post reads.
The enemy is concentrating main efforts on conducting offensive in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Vuhledar directions. They are involving more troops in the Lyman and Bakhmut directions and use aviation to target the AFU positions.
Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus no enemy offensive groups have been detected.
Areas of 13 settlements were shelled in the Sumy region and Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the enemy carried out mortar and artillery shelling of 17 districts of populated areas.
In the Bakhmut direction, 13 settlements were shelled by tank, mortar and artillery.
In the Avdiivka and Vuhledar direction, 21 settlements of the Donetsk region came under tank, mortar and artillery shelling. Russian air strikes were recorded near 3 of them.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, more than 8 settlements were affected by fire.
In the Kherson direction, 14 settlements and the city of Kherson were damaged by enemy fire.
During the day, the AFU aviation launched 2 strikes on the Russian military positions of personnel and equipment.
"During the day, the AFU aviation launched 2 strikes on the Russian military positions of personnel and equipment. Ukrainian missiles and artillery hit 8 Russian military personnel positions, 1 position of anti-aircraft defense and 2 ammunition warehouses," the General Staff notes.
