This was reported by the National Resistance Centre.

"Kyrylivka, which has been occupied for almost a year and a half, used to be a favourite holiday destination for Ukrainians. However, today the resort village is experiencing the worst of times, as the Russian occupation forces have freed it from holidaymakers and local residents from earnings," the statement said.

The Centre noted that most of the locals were forced to leave their property and move to the territory controlled by Ukraine.

"According to the available information, the Russian forces have taken over all the existing recreation centres in the village and changed their purpose from tourist to military. That is why today you can see a deserted resort and the Sea of Azov without people on the beach," the report said.

The village of Kyrylivka in Zaporizhzhia region used to have a water park, a dolphinarium and an amusement park.

  • In June, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense reported that Russian forces had conducted ‘filtration measures’ in the temporarily occupied Kyrylivka, Zaporizhzhia region, to identify pro-Ukrainian people. Some of them were detained and did not return home after interrogation. The whereabouts of these civilians are unknown
