Object over Kyiv region turns out to be enemy drone, it is eliminated

On the afternoon of March 1, an aerial object was spotted over the Kyiv region: it turned out to be an enemy drone that was eliminated by the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces

The Kyiv City Military Administration clarified that the reason for the previous air alert in the afternoon was a Russian UAV. The head of the Kyiv CMA denied the information, noting that the object was identified after it was hit.

Earlier, Serhii Popko said that the air raid alert on the afternoon of March 1 was sounded in the capital and the region due to an airborne object in space, which was initially a small enemy balloon.

“The latest alert in Kyiv and the region was announced due to an unidentified aerial object. According to preliminary data, it was a small balloon. It was probably launched from the northern direction towards Kyiv. At this time, this object does not pose a threat. Appropriate measures have been taken to eliminate it,” he said.

The Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported an air raid alert and a hostile object in the sky over the Kyiv region.

“Kyiv region. An aerial object has been detected in the sky. In this regard, the operation of air defense forces and means is possible. Stay in shelters or other safe places until the end of the day!” the message says.
