Number of Ukrainians killed in Israel rises to 11, 9 people are missing – Ukraine's MFA
As October 13, eleven Ukrainian citizens were killed in a terrorist attack by Hamas militants on Israel, and nine more are missing
Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Nikolenko said in a comment to Suspilne that four more Ukrainians were killed in Israel. This brings the death toll to 11. Another 9 Ukrainian citizens are missing.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Embassy in Israel, citing data from the Israeli side, told Interfax-Ukraine that 12 Ukrainians were killed and 8 were missing.
The day before, Nikolenko had information about at least 7 Ukrainian victims.
The spokesperson's statement mentioned: "The count of deceased Ukrainian citizens in Israel has reached seven. Consular officials have identified their personal information, are in contact with their families, and are making arrangements for the repatriation of their bodies."
Additionally, nine Ukrainian citizens sustained injuries of varying severity, while nine others are currently considered missing.
Oleh Nikolenko emphasized that the Ukrainian embassy is collaborating with Israeli security services in the search for the missing individuals.
The spokesperson also informed that over a thousand Ukrainian citizens have requested assistance to leave Israel due to canceled flights.
Diplomats are making preparations for the first evacuation flight to Romania, scheduled for October 14. Details regarding this flight will be communicated to those who have provided their information to the Ukrainian embassy in Tel Aviv.
The message further noted that about 200 more Ukrainians have expressed their desire to evacuate from the Gaza Strip. However, due to security concerns, departure is currently not feasible.
