Less attacks on Kherson as Ukrainian soldiers hold left bank bridgehead - local authorities

The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration's press office, Oleksandr Tolokonnikov, said that there is currently no possibility to transfer armored vehicles to the left bank of the Dnipro River

He said this on the Espreso TV channel.

"Ukrainian defenders continue to hold the bridgehead on the left bank of the Dnipro River. It is a difficult and very dangerous job. Thanks to our brave soldiers, the number of attacks on Kherson has decreased. The guys are taking the brunt of the attack and the shells that could have hit hospitals and kindergartens on the right bank. Ukrainian defenders are taking this fire. Not everyone is capable of such selfless work," Tolokonnikov said.

According to the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration press office, heavy fighting is taking place on the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson region.

"We are currently unable to support the defenders with large forces, namely with armored vehicles. There is no way to move it to the other side. Russia continues to use aircraft, but the Defense Forces keep doing everything to hold the bridgehead and advance further," Tolokonnikov added.
