NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg says that NATO is not part of the conflict, but will provide support to Ukraine so that it can defend its right to self-defense, enshrined in the UN Charter

This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg during a briefing.

"Membership decisions should be made by all 30 NATO members. Now our main goal is to help Ukraine defend itself," the NATO Secretary General emphasized.

According to him, the member states of the Alliance support Ukraine's choice to apply for NATO membership.

At the same time, Stoltenberg said that NATO is not part of the conflict, but will provide support to Ukraine so that it can defend the right to self-defense, enshrined in the UN charter.

"Putin has mobilized hundreds of thousands of people, threatens nuclear weapons, and seizes Ukrainian territories. This is the most serious escalation since the beginning of the war. It is a sign of weakness, it is an admission that the war is not going according to plan and Putin has been defeated in his goals," Stoltenberg added.
