This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs press service.
"We support the EU on sanctions against Russia to keep up the pressure on the country's government and elite. We are now banning the import of oil transported by sea to Norway," said Minister Anniken Hewitfeldt.
A complete ban on crude oil will come into effect on December 5, 2022, and on February 5, 2023 - on petroleum products.
The Norwegian Foreign Ministry stressed that sanctions should limit Russia's ability to fund war in Ukraine.
