This was reported on the Norwegian government’s website.

"Together with Germany, we are now ensuring that Ukraine receives powerful air defense systems. Germany and Norway are working very closely together to support Ukraine in its fight to defend the country and protect the civilian population against Russian air attacks," says Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

Norway and Germany will jointly fund two Patriot systems, including the missiles for them. In addition, Norway will contribute to the purchase of air defense radar stations from the German manufacturer Hensoldt, as well as air defense systems from the Norwegian company Kongsberg.

“Air defense is also crucial for protecting military units and infrastructure. Now, together with Germany, we are further stepping up our efforts,” says Minister of Defence Tore O. Sandvik.

  • Last week, the Norwegian government decided to allocate Ukraine nearly $100 million for the purchase of imported natural gas as part of preparations for the heating season.
