Sergiy Gayday notes that the situation at the front changes every day, so during the battles for Izyum, Svatove was more of a transshipment base for the occupiers, where Russians did not leave the troops, but only formed units and sent them to different directions.

"And now the situation is worse for the Russian army and already there is no need to send troops to Izyum, so they understand that the next ones after Liman will be Svatov, Troitske, and Kreminna. Accordingly, they move everything there and build defensive structures there," Gayday explained.
