"No one left of those wishing to evacuate. Only 29 people evacuated from Lysychansk and Severodonetsk. 24 residents of Lysychansk and 5 residents of Severodonetsk are safe now," he wrote.
"The opposite situation is in Rubizhne and Popasna. Hundreds want to leave, but the density of shelling makes evacuation impossible," Regional Military Head said.
At the same time, a lot of requests for humanitarian assistance are coming from Lysychansk and Severodonetsk.
"For two weeks the evacuation bus leaves the regional center almost empty. Instead, there are many applications to get humanitarian aid. Police, rescue workers and volunteers take a lot of food, medicine and hygiene products to the shelters," said Gaidai.
10% of citizens still stay in Severodonetsk, and about 50,000 residents remain in the region.
