No one is above law: Scholz welcomes decision on Putin's arrest warrant

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has supported the decision of the International Criminal Court to issue an arrest warrant for Russian leader Vladimir Putin

This is reported by The Guardian.

According to Scholz, the ICC's decision to issue an arrest warrant for Putin proved that no one has the right to be above the law.

"The international criminal court is the right institution to investigate war crimes …The fact is nobody is above the law and that’s what’s becoming clear right now," Scholz said at a news conference with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in Tokyo.
