No guarantee that Germany will shoot down Russian missiles, give Patriots to Ukraine - Kaczyński
The head of Poland's ruling Law and Justice party, Jarosław Kaczyński, has once again spoken out in favor of the transfer of German Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine

“These missiles will be useful in this war, but they will be useful where they will be used. So far, Germany's position gives no reason to believe that they will decide to shoot at Russian missiles,” Kaczyński said.
In addition, according to him, missiles in the west of Ukraine would protect Poland very well, shielding both the infrastructure and the citizens of Ukraine.
“Hence this proposal, which seems at least worth considering by the Germans. If they want to give some weapon, quite old, but still modern, then it should be used, not just placed. It should not be that it will shoot Russian rockets over the heads of Polish citizens,” Kaczyński said.
He also added that Germany's attitude does not yet indicate that this country will be ready to become the first NATO country to enter the war.
“The rational solution is what I proposed at the beginning. This kind of decision is never made without the participation of the prime minister. The missiles that stand for beauty here are a solution that may have aesthetic advantages. There are no military-political advantages in this,” he added.
