Night attack on Kyiv: 20 Shaheds destroyed, debris hit high-rise building, one person killed

On the night of May 30, Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 20 Shaheds, debris hit a high-rise building. As a result, one person was killed, people were injured, fires and destruction were reported

At around 02:20 am, Kyiv residents reported hearing explosions in Kyiv. The Kyiv City Administration then warned that air defense was working.

Different parts of the city were hit. One person was killed. Some people were injured. Debris fell, damaging 3 cars, and a fire broke out, including in a high-rise building.

The danger in the capital ended at 04:46 am.

At 05:12 am, the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA) reported that Kyiv was attacked by Shahed drones, and that about 20 drones were destroyed in the capital's sky by air defense forces.

At 05:09 am, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that one person was killed and four were injured in the night strike.

At 05:00 am, Klitschko said that 20 people were evacuated from a burning building in the Holosiivskyi district. One person died. One elderly woman was hospitalized. Two victims were treated on the spot. The KCMA added that two floors were destroyed. People may be trapped between the rubble.

At 04:04 am, Kyiv mayor reported explosions in the Sviatoshynskyi district of the capital. According to KCMA, the debris fell on the territory of an industrial enterprise.

At 03:51, according to the KCMA, debris damaged a non-residential building in the Dniprovskyi district of the capital.

At around 03:30 am, the alarm went off in Kirovohrad and Cherkasy regions. At about 04:00 am, the alarm went off in the Chernihiv region. Only at 04:45 am the alarm went off in Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions.

At 03:25 am, Klitschko reported new explosions in Holosiivskyi and Podilskyi districts.

The KCMA reported destruction in an apartment building in the Holosiivskyi district. 

Klitschko added that the fire also occurred in a residential building in the Podil district.

Klitschko announced the evacuation of residents from the burning house in the Holosiivskyi district.

At 03:04 am, the mayor of Kyiv emphasized that the attack on the capital was massive and was spreading to other parts of the city, so he asked people to stay in shelters.

At 03:00 am, Klitschko said that doctors hospitalized a 27-year-old woman in the Holosiivskyi district.

At 02:47 am, Suspilne correspondents reported repeated sounds of explosions in Kyiv.

At 02:50 am, Klitschko said that a private house in the Darnytsia district was on fire due to falling debris.

At 02:41, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that the emergency services were responding to calls in Podil and Holosiivskyi districts of the capital.
