Next week will be especially important for our victory – Zelenskyy

He stated this in his evening address on April 2.

"Next week will be especially important for our defense, for our advancement towards victory. We are already preparing for scheduled events and decisions. The key thing now is to cherish our unity, take care of our defenders, help each other and the state," Zelenskyy said.

The president also reminded that on April 2, Ukraine marked the anniversary of the Kyiv region liberation from the Russian army. He noted that Ukraine will eventually return everything.

"There will be a day when we will say: the last occupier has fled or been killed in the Donetsk region, Luhansk region, Kherson region and in our entire south. Crimea will be free and safe again. Ukraine will return all its territories," the President emphasized.

Zelenskyy also recalled all the enemy shelling that took place on April 2. He expressed his condolences to the relatives of all the injured and dead and added that the only way to end Russian terror is to restore security to all Ukrainian cities and citizens. According to him, this can be done as a military victory for Ukraine.

"The evil state must be defeated. In every sense of the word. Rushism must face a total defeat: military, economic, political, legal. The first point is military. And it will face it," Zelenskyy emphasized.

The President also thanked everyone who defends Ukraine and brings victory closer. He also singled out those who train the Ukrainian military.
