"Ukraine doesn’t want peace": Russia’s latest fake narrative led by Putin’s ally

Andriy Kovalenko, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, reported the information.

According to him, this disinformation is part of the Kremlin’s information campaign under the conditional name “Ukraine does not want peace.” The operation is being led by the head of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) and a longtime friend of Vladimir Putin, Sergey Naryshkin.

Kovalenko noted that Naryshkin has already failed in orchestrating sabotage operations against NATO countries, exposing Russia as the culprit. Following this failure, he started spreading claims that Ukraine was preparing attacks on ships.

Now, according to Kovalenko, Naryshkin is once again lying about Ukraine allegedly planning terrorist attacks in EU countries. However, in reality, it is Russia that has carried out a series of sabotage operations and arson attacks in European countries and even attempted to assassinate the CEO of Rheinmetall, as NATO previously reported.

“Now Naryshkin is preparing possible acts of sabotage to blame Ukraine. But he is so incompetent that it is immediately clear from the information flow that Russia is behind it. This is all part of a campaign to accuse Ukraine of ‘disrupting peace,’ even though it is actually Russia that does not want peace,” the Center for Countering Disinformation chief concluded.
