This was reported by Ukraine's Centre for Strategic Communications.
Semyon Boykov, who calls himself the ataman of the Cossack Society of Australia, recorded a video from the Russian Consulate General in Sydney. The video features the allegedly adopted son of the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi. In the fake video, a guy named Ivan, together with Boykov, congratulated the Russian army on the "defeat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Avdiivka".
"In fact, Russian propaganda is trying to manipulate the alleged family ties of Ukraine's Armed Forces chief. On Syrskyi's Wikipedia page, there is no son named Ivan, but Anton and Oleksandr. But RT and other Russian media that distribute videos with this "Australian ataman" do not care about this," the analysts stressed.
