This is reported by Radio Liberty, citing the spokeswoman for the service, Daniela Manzat, a representative of the prosecutor's office, Emil Gaitur, and its own sources.
It is noted that Daniela Manzat and Emil Gaitur confirmed the information about the searches, but did not give a reason.
Instead, the publication's sources say that the investigation is being conducted in the case of espionage against the head of the legal department of the Moldovan parliament, Ion Creanga.
According to the sources, the official was caught red-handed when he was passing information to the Russian Embassy in Chisinau.
- On July 11, the Moldovan parliament began its session with a minute of silence as MPs paid tribute to the victims of the Russian attack on Kyiv on July 8.
