Moldovan MFA issues protest note to Russian ambassador over election interference, drone incursions
Moldova's Foreign Ministry summoned the Russian ambassador over Russia's election interference and the crash of two Russian drones in the country, presenting him with a note of protest

On November 12, Moldova's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a note of protest to Russian Ambassador Oleg Ozerov during a meeting at the ministry, citing "the illegal and deliberate interference of the Russian Federation in the electoral process of the Republic of Moldova to distort the results of the presidential election and the republican constitutional referendum, thereby undermining and delegitimizing the democratic process."
In addition, the Moldovan Foreign Ministry "strongly condemned" the violation of the country's airspace by Russian drones.
The summons of the Russian ambassador was previously reported by Radio Liberty, citing a number of Moldovan outlets with sources in the Foreign Ministry.
The Russian ambassador to Moldova was scheduled to appear at the Moldovan Foreign Ministry on November 12. No further details have been disclosed, and neither Moscow nor Chisinau has commented on the ambassador's summons.
At the same time, the Russian propaganda agency TASS reported that the Russian Foreign Ministry "categorically denied" Moldova's allegedly unfounded accusations that a Russian drone had violated the country's airspace.
