101 combats take place along frontline: Russia targets Kursk region with 18 aerial bombs

Novenke, Loknya, Basivka, Kniazhychi, Turya, Shalygino communities in Sumy region and Leonivka in Chernihiv region suffered from enemy artillery and mortar fire. In addition, the Russian forces conducted airstrikes with guided bombs in the areas of Basivka, Bilovody and Velyka Pysarivka.  

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, the Russian enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian troops seven times near Starytsia.  

In the Kupyansk sector, Russian forces attacked the Ukrainian Defense Forces eight times in the areas of Holubivka, Pishchane, Lozova, Kruglyakivka and Vyshneve. Five firefights are still ongoing. Hostile aircraft attacked Petropavlivka, Andriivka and Kupyansk with 16 unguided missiles and four guided aerial bombs.  

In the Lyman sector, the invading Russian army made 21 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Druzhelyubivka, Katerynivka, Hrekivka, Tverdokhlibove, Terny, Zarichne, Torske and Serebryanka, two of which are still ongoing. Ukrainian soldiers are steadfastly holding the line and inflicting losses on the enemy.  

In the area of Vyimka in the Siverskyi sector, the Russian troops tried to break through the defenses of Ukrainian positions once. The situation is under control of Ukrainian defenders.  

In the Kramatorsk sector, since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian Armed Forces have repelled two attacks by Russian invaders near Chasiv Yar and Predtechyno.  

In the Toretsk sector, Russian aggressor carried out four air strikes, dropping seven guided aerial bombs on residential areas and civilian infrastructure of Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian invaders made 30 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Myroliubivka, Novotoretske, Promen, Lysivka, Krasnyi Yar, Selydove, Sukhyi Yar, Mykolaivka, Krutyi Yar and Mykhailivka. Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the attack and repelled 28 enemy attacks, two combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Kurakhove sector, Russian army attacked 10 times towards the settlements of Novodmitrivka, Zoryane, Kreminna Balka, Novomykolayivka, Maksymilianivka, Antonivka, Katerynivka and Kostyantynivka. Nine Russian attempts to advance have already been repelled.

In the Vremivka sector, two Russian attacks took place in the direction of Bohoyavlenka.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled one Russian attack near Novodanylivka, while the enemy used attack aircraft near Mali Shcherbaki.

In the Kursk region, Russian aircraft continue to raze villages and towns to the ground. Since the beginning of the day, Russian aircraft have carried out 16 air strikes with 18 guided aerial bombs on their own territory.

The situation in other sectors remained unchanged.

• Over the past 24 hours, the Russian occupation army lost 1,240 troops in the war in Ukraine. The Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed 108 drones and 45 artillery systems.
