143 clashes occur at front on Nov.18, Ukrainian forces repel 22 Russian attacks in Kursk region

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this on November 19.

According to the General Staff, yesterday Russia launched two missile strikes (two rockets) at the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, 77 air strikes, dropping 123 guided bombs. In addition, the Russians fired more than 4,900 times, including 152 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems.

Russians conducted air strikes in the areas of the settlements, in particular, Starytsia, Kozacha Lopan, Okhrimivka, Zakitne, Ozerne, Mykolaivka, Semenivka, Maiske, Chasiv Yar, Kostiantynivka, Toretsk, Druzhba, Sloviansk, Oleksandro-Kalynove, Sukha Balka, Lysivka, Romanivka, Dachne, Yantarne, Oleksandropil, Sukhi Yaly, Velyka Novosilka, Temyrivka, Zelene Pole, Novoandriivka, and Olhivka.

The General Staff noted that on November 18, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted 9 strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel and weapons, and also hit the UAV control center, artillery system, two logistics depots, the Zhytel electronic warfare station, and two other important enemy targets.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, six combat engagements took place in the area of Vovchansk.

Nine attacks took place in the Kupyansk sector over the last day. Ukraine's Defense Forces repelled enemy assaults near Kruhliakivka and Lozova.

In the Lyman sector, the Russian army attacked six times near Novoliubivka, Torske, and Bilohorivka.

In the Toretsk sector, Russia carried out four attacks near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 38 assaults in the areas of Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Petrivka, Pustynka, and Novooleksiivka, where the invaders, supported by air power, tried to force Ukrainian units out of their positions.

In the Kurakhove sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 30 attacks near Berestky, Sontsivka, Voznesenka, Dalne, Yelyzavetivka, Katerynivka, and Antonivka, where the Russians tried to break through the Ukrainian troops' defense.

In the Vremivka sector, the Russian troops carried out 14 assault attacks near Trudove, Rozdolne, Makarivka, Rivne, and Novodarivka.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, eight combat engagements took place in the island zone of the Dnipro Delta. The Russian army was not successful, the General Staff noted.

The situation did not change significantly in the Siversk, Kramatorsk, Huliaipole, and Orikhiv sectors. 

On the border with Belarus, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.

Ukraine's Defense Forces continue their operation in the Kursk region. Over the past 24 hours, Russian aircraft conducted 27 air strikes in the Kursk region, dropping 37 guided bombs. Ukrainian defenders repelled 22 assaults.

On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy maintains a military presence, shells settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine.

• Over the past day on the Russian-Ukrainian front, the invading army lost another 1,610 troops. Total Russian losses since the start of the full-scale war have reached 724,000 personnel.
