New Russian fake stories: 'Ukrainian Armed Forces loses 70,000 soldiers, 60% of Zaporizhzhya residents see region as part of Russian Federation'
Russia is spreading disinformation that the Ukrainian Armed Forces' losses amount to no less than 50,000-70,000 soldiers.
The Center for Countering Disinformation shared the review in its Telegram channel.
According to the Center at the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council, Russia launched three major disinfo campaigns on July 11.
Manipulation. Balytsky, a collaborator and 'leader' of the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhya region, reported that: "more than 60% of the inhabitants of the Zaporizhzhya region see the territories of the region as part of Russia in the status of a separate entity."
The Russian press also spread a disinformation statement by the hacker group RaHDIt regarding the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during hostilities.
"A member of the Russian hacker association stated on condition of anonymity that today the losses amount to no less than 50-70,000 soldiers killed," Russian media wrote.
Manipulation. A member of the Russian Federal Assembly, Pushkov, said: "Germany has embarked on the path of anti-Russian sanctions, and is now constantly preparing for the worst. Who would have thought that supporting the Maidan and the 'coup d'état' in Ukraine in 2014 would lead the Germans to fear the closure of their enterprises and entire industries".
