Netherlands recognizes Russia as state sponsor of terrorism

“The House of Representatives has recognized Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism because of the war in Ukraine,” the message reads.

The vast majority of parties, including the VVD (People's Party for Freedom and Democracy), D66 (Progressive Democrats), PvdA (Labour Party), CDA (Christian Democratic Party), supported the proposal by MP Tom van der Lee from GroenLinks (Green Left).

The newspaper notes that the vast majority of Dutch parliamentary parties also support the government's policy of maximum assistance for Ukraine in the humanitarian, diplomatic and military fields.
