Netherlands confirms Ukraine's request for F-16 fighter jets
Ukraine has submitted an official request to the Netherlands for the supply of F-16 fighter jets. However, the issue is still under discussion.

This is reported by NOS with reference to a statement by Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren.
"We need to discuss the availability of F-16s with the Americans and other allies. And we need to think seriously about the consequences, it cannot happen overnight. We have to be honest about it," she said.
According to the minister, Ukraine's request is understandable, but not easy to fulfill.
- On January 31, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda supported the transfer of fighter jets and long-range missiles to Ukraine, emphasizing that they are important assistance at this stage of the war.
- Former Pentagon Secretary Mark Esper also called on the United States to provide Ukraine with fighter jets and long-range missiles as soon as possible.
- Poland has declared its readiness to provide Ukraine with its F-16 fighter jets if it is agreed upon at the NATO level.
