Negotiations between the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, have ended in Sochi

The President of Turkey noted that the meeting indicates the special role of his country and the Russian Federation in the region. Erdogan focused on issues of energy cooperation, grain export in the Black Sea, and tourism.
Erdogan separately focused on the Syrian problem.
According to the Russian propaganda agency TASS, Putin and Erdogan emphasized that it is important to preserve the political unity and territorial integrity of Syria. The interlocutors agreed on the need to fulfill the Istanbul Agreements on the export of grain, as well as increasing trade volumes between the countries.
