First Vice-President of the National Assembly of France Valerie Rabault emphasizes the need to create a united front of support for Ukraine
Ukrinform writes about this with reference to Valerie Rabault's statement during the first international parliamentary summit of the Crimean Platform in Zagreb.
"We know that economic issues and energy problems, in particular, on the eve of winter, can threaten our unity. That is why it is very important for us to create a united front today," Valerie Rabault emphasized, speaking about the need to join forces in helping Ukraine
The first vice-president of the National Assembly of France named a number of priorities in support of our country: protection of human rights and international humanitarian law.
"Thousands of Ukrainian children were abducted by Russian forces and forcibly adopted by Russian families. This is a clear violation of human rights and international law, and it must be stopped," the parliamentarian said.
Rabault reminded of the work of the French mission to investigate Russian war crimes in Ukraine. She also talked about the effectiveness of sanctions against the Russian Federation and called on partners to be united in this.
"We must support the policy of non-recognition of the annexation of Ukrainian territories, including Crimea. The Crimean Platform and we are united in our efforts to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine," Rabault added.
The first vice-president emphasized the need to make every effort to overcome the negative effects of the temporary occupation of Crimea, and France supports any actions in this direction, including the readiness of financial and economic assistance.
The foreign ministers of the USA, Great Britain and France stated that they reject the blatantly false statements of Russian Defense Minister Serhiy Shoigu regarding the possible use of a "dirty bomb" by Ukraine.
