Navy Commander Neizhpapa names Russian ships, boats destroyed during full-scale war

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine's Defense Forces destroyed a large Russian amphibious assault ship, as well as several Serna and Raptor landing craft

Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, Commander of the AFU Naval Forces, said this during the telethon.

“As we can see from the figures in the reports, the Defense Forces destroyed 18 ships and boats. These are not only ships and boats destroyed by the Ukrainian Navy, but also ships destroyed by the Army and other units. As for the amphibious and logistical means, there is one large landing ship that was sunk in Berdiansk by the Land Forces, two more ships were damaged and are still being repaired. The Navy also destroyed a Serna landing boat and several Raptor landing boats that were used in the operations to capture Zmiinyi Island. The rest of the ships are now in ports controlled by the Russian Federation,” said Neizhpapa.

For reference. Project 11770 amphibious assault boats (Serna class) are a series of Russian high-speed air cavity landing boats. The project boats are designed to land on or remove from an unequipped shore combat tracked, wheeled, and other military equipment weighing up to 45 tons, as well as amphibious units with weapons (92 people). The speed is 30 knots, which exceeds the performance of other boats of the same type.

Project 03160 Raptor patrol boats are a series of Russian high-speed coastal patrol boats. These are the fastest naval vessels in service with the Russian Navy. The project was developed by the Leningrad Shipyard Pella Design Bureau on behalf of the Russian Navy on the basis of the Swedish CombatBoat 90 multi purpose boats and is actually a licensed version of the Swedish boat. The boats are designed to patrol coastal waters (bays, estuaries, river mouths) and naval bases, conduct search and rescue operations, and land in the coastal zone of seas, straits and river mouths in daylight and darkness. It can also be used to illuminate the surface situation and intercept small high-speed targets, as well as to deliver or evacuate groups of special operations forces and marines.
