NATO: Russia lost more than 200,000 soldiers and 1,800 officers in war against Ukraine
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian army has lost more than 2,000 large battle tanks. More than 200,000 Russian soldiers and over 1,800 officers were killed or wounded
Commander of NATO's Allied Forces Europe, General Christopher Cavoli, said this at a traditional St. Matthew's Day Banquet in Hamburg City Hall, Spiegel reports.
General Christopher Cavoli as the guest of honor said that "the scale of this war is incredible."
In particular, he noted that Russia has so far lost more than 2,000 battle tanks. More than 200,000 Russian soldiers and more than 1,800 officers have been killed or wounded. And the Russian troops on average fire more than 23,000 artillery shells per day.
"If someone comes with a tank, you have to have a tank too. However, one of the lessons of the Cold War is that the accuracy of weapons is what matters. In addition, the production capacity of the defense industry is important. The war is won by the one who can produce the fastest," Christopher Cavoli summarized.
