"Mother covered her son with her body" - 5-year-old Misha miraculously survives Russian shelling

The boy, whose grandfather got him out under shelling, is undergoing treatment in Lviv. He is safe and his medical condition is improving.

The First Medical City Association shared the information on the young survivor, Espreso.West reports.

“In one day, 48-year-old Volodymyr from Mykolaiv lost his daughter, son, and wife. Five people tried to escape from the war by two cars with white flags. But the cars were shot at with machine guns.

Only his son-in-law and 5-year-old grandson Misha miraculously managed to survive. The man has a bullet wound to the leg, the child has a craniocerebral injury. The child’s mother, who was sitting next to her son, covered him with her body. The bullet hit her in the head.

Everyone else in the car died.

Volodymyr, who went to the site of the incident, buried his most loved ones. He dug three graves, for his wife and children, in the village. Now this territory is occupied by Russians. Then he went to Mykolaiv together with his wounded son-in-law. The emergency services took his grandson there fast. But Russians were at the checkpoint.

After interrogation, the Russians threatened them with shooting. They were saved by chance: a doctor from an ambulance that drove past the accident said the men were his patients. They let them go, but the war did not end there.

Russian forces started shelling the hospital in Mykolaiv. Hiding in shelter, the grandfather and father decided to evacuate little Misha to Lviv. And they succeeded," the report notes.
