Moscow, Minsk sign document on deployment of nuclear weapons in Belarus

Defense Ministers of Russia and Belarus have signed a document on the deployment of Russian tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus

Reuters reported the information.

A bilateral meeting between the Minister of Defense of Belarus, Lieutenant General Viktor Khrenin, and the Minister of Defense of Russia, Army General Sergei Shoigu, took place in Minsk.

On May 25, Russia and Belarus signed a document on the deployment of Russian tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.

During the meeting, the Minister of Defense of Belarus stated that Belarus was interested in further developing strategic relations with Russia in the military sphere.

Russian media also reported that the Russian Defense Minister, Sergei Shoigu, stated that the West is engaging in an undeclared war against Russia and Belarus.

Russia and Belarus are close allies in the war against Ukraine. Earlier this year, they agreed to deploy part of Moscow's tactical nuclear arsenal in Belarus.
