More than 75,000 Russian soldiers deployed to fight in Ukraine are killed or injured - US
Since February 24, Russia has lost about half of the military personnel it sent to war in Ukraine.
Radio Svoboda shared the news.
According to the media, American Democratic Senator Elissa Slotkin spoke about Russia's losses to the CNN channel after participating in a secret briefing with representatives of President Biden's administration.
"We've been told that over 75,000 Russians have been killed or wounded, which is a huge number, they invested incredible sums in their ground forces, over 80% of their ground forces are bogged down, they're tired," Slotkin said.
The message says that Russia is keeping secret the data on the number of people killed during the full-scale war against Ukraine.
"Military casualties are a state secret in Russia even in peacetime, the Russian authorities do not provide updated official data on the number of casualties during the full-scale war against Ukraine. According to the latest CIA estimates, 15,000 Russian soldiers died in the invasion to Ukraine. The General Staff of Ukrainian Armed Forces declares more than 40,000 dead Russian soldiers," Radio Liberty reports.
It is also noted that after visiting Ukraine, the senator assumed that the next one and a half months could be decisive in the war.
"I think what we heard very strongly from President Zelensky and confirmed today is that the Ukrainians really want to punch Russia in the teeth several times before winter comes," she said.
