More than 70,000 Ukrainian children become refugees every day - the UN

These data were told by UNICEF spokesman James Elder.

"Every day for the last 20 days, more than 70,000 children in Ukraine become refugees. Every minute, 55 children flee the country", said James Elder.

Nine out of ten people fleeing incessant violence in Ukraine are women and children.

On Monday (March 14th), UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said Russia's military offensive against civilians was "reaching appalling proportions".
