More than 43 thousand people were successfully evacuated from Sumy to Lubny - chairman of the Poltava Regional Military Administration 

This was reported by the head of the Poltava regional military administration Dmytro Lunin.

"Evacuation from Sumy. At night, all three columns arrived in Lubny and from there went by rail to the west of the country. Those who remained in the Poltava region were provided with accommodation", the message says.

He added that a total of more than 43,000 people were evacuated from Sumy on March 9 on buses and private cars.
