More than 40 combat clashes per day, heavy fighting continues in east of Ukraine — General Staff

Yesterday, on June 19, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with 4 Kalibr missiles and 4 Shahed drones, all targets were destroyed by Ukrainian air defense

The Russian army continues to focus its main efforts in several directions, including Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka, resulting in ongoing heavy battles. There were 45 clashes in the past day.

Russia launched over 45 airstrikes and 70 MLRS attacks 

Within the last day, the enemy used 4 Kalibr cruise missiles and 4 Iranian Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs. All 8 air targets were destroyed.

Furthermore, the enemy conducted over 45 air strikes and launched about 70 rocket attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements. Civilians were affected.

Shelling of Ukrainian regions

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. 

At the same time, the Russian Federation continued shelling the entire line of contact with mortars and artillery: 2 settlements in the Chernihiv region, 6 more in the Sumy region, as well as 18 towns and villages in the Kharkiv region were attacked.

In the Kupiansk direction, 7 settlements in the Kharkiv and Luhansk regions came under artillery shelling.

In the Lyman direction, 9 settlements of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions came under enemy fire. 

In the Bakhmut direction, 11 localities in the Donetsk region were attacked by the invading Russian forces.

In the Avdiivka direction, 5 settlements in the Donetsk region were shelled. 

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled all of the Russian troops' attacks, however, 4 settlements came under shelling. 

In the Shakhtarsk direction, 5 localities in the Donetsk region came under Russian fire. 

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, over 34 cities and villages were subjected to numerous attacks by the occupying Russian army.

AFU hit Russian positions, command posts, and critical objects

Throughout the day, Ukrainian military aircraft conducted 15 strikes on enemy locations. 

Additionally, missile and artillery units destroyed 3 enemy headquarters, 10 deployment sites with equipment and fighters, 2 ammunition warehouses, 1 fuel and lubricants warehouse, 15 artillery batteries on the front lines, 3 anti-aircraft vehicles, and 2 other important targets held by the occupiers.
