This was reported by Petro Kotin, president of Energoatom state enterprise, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
According to Kotin, the Russian military placed mines along the site of the power plant. Because of this, wild animals that run into the territory are blown up.
"There are many cases, we’ve counted more than 30 incidents, when animals - foxes or wild boars - are blown up on these mines. Twice the explosion debris damaged the power lines that pass through the site of the station," Kotin said.
The president of Energoatom also noted that the Russian occupiers usually mine the perimeter of the ZNPP: entrances to the plant, educational and training centers.
