President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, noted that various information regarding incident currently appear in media, in many cases completely false.

"Most likely, it was an accident. There is massive Russian attack on Ukraine, a brutal one. Russia is responsible for this war and Russia is responsible for all misfortunes that are the result of this war. In recent days, misfortune has also come to us - two of our Polish families lost their loved ones in Przewodów", he said.

Duda also noted that missile could not be shot down.

"No country in the world has a defense system that would protect the entire territory, especially at such a short distance from the border, if there are no strategic, critical objects that are specially protected", he said.

President of Poland added that missile was aimed at the territory of the country unintentionally. It was an accident. According to him, it fell due to the failure of certain internal mechanisms that should have worked. In fact, it was aimed at intercepting Russian missile:

"It was probably a missile launched by Ukrainian anti-missile system, which was intended to neutralize Russian missiles that were flying into Ukrainian cities."

Duda emphasized that two Poles became victims of war that Russia is waging in Ukraine:

"These are victims of this war who accidentally died on our side. It just shows us how terrible this war is, also and maybe especially for Ukrainian people, who were brutally attacked by Russians and where hundreds of people die every day".
