War has finally reached Russian territory: military expert Zgurets on night attack on Russia
Serhiy Zgurets, military expert and CEO of the Defense Express media and consulting company, noted that the strikes on Russian airports in Moscow are the consequences of Putin's policy
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
“Currently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are systematically using attack drones against Russian targets. These strikes are becoming both regular and extensive, indicating that this is a key component of the war of attrition being implemented by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. While the enemy relies on Shaheds, our defense capabilities now enable us to strike Russian territory systematically and regularly,” Zgurets said.
According to the expert, Ukrainian drones are now covering distances of up to 1,700 kilometers. Ukrainian intelligence has identified at least 80 different military facilities within this range. For these operations, Ukraine has several drones capable of performing such tasks.
“When we talk about the night attack on Russia today, we used the Liutyi drones, which have a range of over 1,000 kilometers and a warhead weight of 50 kg. There are a number of tasks here. The strikes on Russian airfields in Moscow have a paralyzing effect on the Russian population, which must remember that the war has finally come to their territory, to their land. And these are the consequences of Putin's policy,” emphasized Zgurets.
The military expert also added that the massive use of drones is an important addition to the operation conducted by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region. It also has an impact on Ukraine’s partners, who have so far refrained from authorizing the use of long-range weapons.
