Ukrainian troops destroy new Russian Ulan-2 all-terrain vehicle near Pokrovsk
Ukrainian forces approaching Pokrovsk have destroyed a new Russian Ulan-2 all-terrain vehicle for the first time
The press service of the 7th Assault Troops Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this information.
The vehicle is an all-wheel-drive automobile built on a civilian commercial Sobol 4x4 chassis.
The press service noted that Russia had announced it would begin 'mass' deliveries of Ulan-2 vehicles to the front lines earlier this fall.
Ukrainian drone operators spotted several of these vehicles on Russian supply routes within the operational area of the 7th Assault Troops Corps.
"Recently, our drone operators identified several of these 'all-terrain vehicles' on Russian logistics routes in our area of operations. Reportedly, the invaders were transporting 'gifts' for their 'liberators' ahead of the New Year. However, our forces intercepted them first and delivered our own gifts – with no return policy," the statement reads.
During the day of December 25, the Russian army lost at least 840 soldiers. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 74 artillery systems and 3 enemy tanks.
