The commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, reported this on his Telegram channel.

“The Orion strike-reconnaissance drone has just been shot down. 414th Brigade Madyar’s Birds, Topot Team. Wingspan 16.3 meters, 24 hours in the air. Specs and cost in millions of dollars can be found on Wikipedia,” he wrote.

The commander noted that among more than 1,500 Russian drones shot down during the war, including Orlans, ZALs, Supercams, Shaheds, Herkis, and Lancets, the Orion “remained at the top of the list.”

  • On June 27, a newly formed crew of anti-aircraft gunners from the Sokil-3 unit of the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade shot down a Russian Lancet 'kamikaze' drone using a volunteer-supplied quadcopter.
