According to the Ukrainian military, the Russian Ka-52 helicopter was flying a “combat patrol” over Ukrainian territory.
"The Ka-52 Alligator tried to patrol the skies over Ukrainian fields," the statement said. "But it missed one key detail — a group of Bombus strike UAVs was already waiting."
The Ka-52 Alligator is considered to be one of Russia's most advanced attack helicopters.
“Precise work, cold calculation, and one less aircraft in the occupiers' fleet. We keep going,” the unit added.
- Last year, on May 13, soldiers with Ukraine’s 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade also shot down a Russian Ka-52.
